Who we are
Homebound Honeymoon started as something small and personal: I was trying to make sense of how fast my own life was changing.
I met my husband, Brad, at the end of 2018. By 2020, we had eloped during lockdown, moved in together, and welcomed our first child. It was a season filled with love, chaos, and growth but almost no space to pause and actually understand who we were becoming as partners.
Six months after our baby was born, we intetionally made space to pause. We created our first “family retreat,” a weekend carved out to check in, reflect on who we were becoming and align on our values. It wasn’t fancy, but it changed everything. That little experiment became the seed for what is now Homebound Honeymoon.
A few years later, we made another big decision: we moved to Bali. Anyone who has ever moved countries knows it’s not just a relocation… it’s a full identity shift. New rhythms, new pressures, new versions of yourself. That transition reminded me again how much relationships need intentional space, especially when life is stretching you in new directions.
Before all of this, I worked at the cross section of conflict resolution, international development and global education. I spent a decade designing and facilitating programs that helped people connect across cultures and perspectives. The programs were rooted in empathy, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration. The same tools that are now as the foundation of every retreat.
Homebound Honeymoon isn’t about perfect relationships. It’s about real couples, real seasons, and giving yourselves time to reconnect without running away from your real life.
If you’re in a moment of transition, growth, or just feeling the pull to slow down and realign, I get it. And I’d be honored to support you in creating the space you’ve been craving. Drop a note below, I’d love to connect.
